A few things to make Pickin' in Parsons safe & Enjoyable for All!
Reservations
To camp during Pickin' in Parsons you must have a ticket for the remainder of the event upon arrival to camp. Reservations can only be made by the month, and must be paid in full at time of reservation.
Fires & Firewood
Firewood is available for purchase, but you may bring your own (as long as it is WV firewood). Camp fires must be contained in a fire ring. Wood with nails or staples is prohibited. No trash...No glass, plastic, aluminum, or paper permitted in fire. Guests who refuse to follow this rule, will be subject to a $10 cleaning fee.
Concert Area & Seating
Event is Rain or Shine, no refunds.
No Pets are permitted in the Concert Area.
Armbands must be worn at all times and are non transferable.
You may set chairs at 8 AM on the morning of the event. No high back or lounge chairs
Alcoholic beverages are prohibited and not to be displayed in any form.
Camping Guidelines
Campsite number will not be guaranteed; however, every effort will be made to assign the campsite requested.
One responsible person (18 years or older) shall be at each rented campsite and is responsible for the actions and safety of the campsite occupants and liable for any damages caused by them.
No visitors are permitted during Event dates.
No objects may be driven into any tree, shrub, rock, sign, building or other object or structure in the campground.
Trenching or digging is prohibited. This includes metal detecting.
There are no quiet hours during festival time, however, Please keep in mind that this is a family campground, loud noise, excessive radio volume and foul language will not be permitted.
Parents are responsible for the safety, care, and appropriate behavior of their children at all times.
The speed limit is 05 miles per hour. Please assist us with reminding those who are non compliant. If a camper persists in exceeding the speed limit then he/she will be asked to park their vehicle or leave the premises.
Only licensed drivers are permitted to operate a vehicle or motor bike.
No privately owned ATV's, Dirt Bikes, or golf carts permitted.
Swim at your own risk. No Lifeguard on duty. Please keep in mind that the river currents and depth vary seasonally. Swim with caution.
All trash is to be bagged and tied securely and dropped off at the dumpster by the gate or other designated areas listed in your festival guide.
Washing of vehicles and camping units is not permitted.
Campsites must be kept clean and organized.
Picnic tables are not available, please bring a folding table with you.
Alcoholic beverages are prohibited and not to be displayed in any form.
Bicycle Safety
No bicycle may be ridden in campgrounds after dark, unless it is equipped with lights and are turned on. Anyone age 15 and under must wear a helmet when riding a bicycle in the park as directed by WV State Law. No Bicycles are permitted in or around the seating area, day parking, or driveway to the day parking.
Pet Health and Care
Pets are not permitted in the concert area.
Pets must be current on vaccinations and in good health.
Guests must clean up after their pet(s) including the open areas around the river. Pet food cannot be kept outside as this could attract unwanted wildlife.
Camp Ground staff reserves the right to terminate the stay of any guest whose pet(s) are considered a nuisance or a threat.
Pets must be secured and not left unattended. Pets are not permitted in the bathhouse. Please dispose of your pet waste properly, Waste Stations provided to assist you with this task.
