Your hosts...Joyce & John Bowers
We attended "Music in the Mountains" for many years. It was great, you could see the hottest bands in bluegrass packed into four glorious days. Camping out with our family and friends, we were there for the whole week. We enjoyed the music & comradery, it was some of the most enjoyable times we had spent as a family. We joked about one day owning our own festival. When the oportunity to lease a piece of ground in Parsons arrived, we took the chance. Mr. & Mrs Kitchen were very supportive, offering much needed advice and attended several Pickin' in Parsons festivals. This year makes 10 years since we jumped, head first into that bluegrass dream.
We want to thank all of you who were there to support us through the hard times. We appreciate every one of our customers, past & present. Thank you for helping us grow into a family friendly, community event full of the true spirit of Appalachia. It is with friendship, tradition, and love we bring you Pickin' in Parsons 2013! Don't forget to buy your tickets before July 4th, 2013
